An American Retro Girl in London by Terence Webb

As you may have gleaned from my gushing about their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, American Retro is my kind of brand. For me, I have several categories of love for fashion brands--the brands that I LOOOOVE (as in designers I worship at the altar thereof) and brands I love to wear. American Retro, being of that comfy/cool/street genre, fits the second category to a slouchy pima cotton tee. American Retro, Zoe Tees, comfy cottons and slick trousers, this is how I go about my fashion business pretty much day to day.

So when the Fashionographer and I had the opportunity to shoot some of the choicest Autumn/Winter bits, I jumped like an American striking retro gold. So the angle for the story, as it were, embarking upon our shoot in the dwindling light of the London autumn, was all about embracing the All-American clothes within a British context, all with an underlying vintage aesthetic. The setting for the shoot was a Vespa repair shop tucked away in the mews by my flat, where I've always wanted shoot each and every day as I pass by on my way home from the 31 bus. So I hope you enjoy our story, An American (Retro) Girl in London...

fur hats are so my thing for this winter! can't get enough of them. I am also loving all of the leather shorts that I am seeing everywhere but no way would I be daring enough to wear them, even in black, let alone red. They look great on you though :)
