LFW AW10: Facehunter Book Launch

Apologies apologies apologies for radio blogger silence, things here in Milano have been a blessing yet a curse. Blessing in the sense that all things old school fashion (tickets, seats, shopping, general good karma) have been beyond my expectations...GUCCI and FENDI....curse in the sense that Milan seems to be some sort of technological vortex into which all electronics enter at their own peril. Day one, en route to Fendi, my brand new Marc Jacobs bag as purchased in NYC blew it's strap and tumbled to ground, taking my Nikon D40 with it. RIP D90 18-105mm lens. Then the wifi in the hotel is so slow that it precludes any chance of uploading of images, hence the lack of bloggy blog. There were more technological malfunctions, but I shall spare you the drama. For now.

Back to the task at hand, catching up on the remainder of LFW so I can start dishing on the wonders of my first ever Milan Fashion Week. So let's pick up where we left off. Facehunter and his first book launch. Basically, if you read his site and/or you bought the Sartorialist's book, you have no excuse not to go scope out Yvon's first tome. As a fellow member of Glam, as well as a fellow first time-er-author/photographer extraordinaire, I was psyched to turn up to support Yvan Rodic behind the scaffolding of a soon-to-be-opened Mayfair hotel, which, for the moment, is still a construction site. Somewhat apropos, I suppose, that we had to hunt for the Facehunter, although didn't feel like it after a long day hobbling around the cobblestones at Somerset House.

I've see Yvon here in Milan, covering Milanese Street Style at the shows for good old Vogue Italia, or rather, the new soon-to-be-relaunched Vogue.it (Style.com...your days are numbered, the Vogue nations are rising against you!!). So be sure to check them out, there may just be one of yours truly in posing somewhat uncomfortably in middle of the catwalk about two meters from the eagle eyes of two of my fashion goddesses, Anna and Rachel, at Gucci.

Congratulations on all your success Yvon!!!

Click here to buy the Facehunter's book on Amazon! Can't believe those bastards have already knocked 25% off the shelf price and it's not due out til mid-March. Sigh, what a world we marked-down creatives live in.
