NYFW AW10 DAY 5: Carlos Miele, Jill Stuart, Tracy Reese, Donna Karan, Tadashi Shoji, Ecco Domani and Perry Ellis (whew)

Yesterday was a bit of a mad day, hence the massive post (a thick blanket of snow has accumulated on the ground outside in the time it took me to upload these). But I think it's better to get it all in one go before we've all moved on to Day 6, 7 and then LFW!

So in one deep breath, fell swooping motion of images (stretched and crap resolution, I know, I'm sorry, but I prefer bigger images and MY OWN rather than pilfering from the likes of Style.com, situation will be remedied soon with the relaunch, I promise), here goes. For my reviews, churned out alongside a healthy helping of Chipotle last night as the bathroom in the floor above mine began to leak (the life of a New York fashionista is sooooo glamorous)I turn you over to Glam.

Hilary Alexander sitting pretty in row 1. I think I may be one of the only bloggers who religiously stalks the big player journos. I'm more in awe of them than the celebs

I really loved this injection of shocking blue into the collection. Seems to be a fast-emerging trend amongst the legions of head to toe black clad models...one tell-tale piece of teal or blue to punctuate the pitchiness

Despite the beautiful venue, this show was the most poorly organized of all I've been to yet this season. The seating was a disaster, I almost witnessed the outbreak of a full on brawl when a stander stole a Japanese editrix's seat, refused to surrender it when she arrived seated ticket in hand and then told her to f*ck off when she asked at least to have her gift bag back. I swear it nearly came to blows. The models were walking erratically, which I don't think was intentional...whoever was calling the show must have had way to much to drink the night before. Oh, and then the music cut out half-way in for at least half a minute. Thank god the photogs started humming to keep the beat.

All that being said, the show was gorgeous, without a doubt one of my favorites so far and the gorgeous fairy-dust bearing vial/pendant inside the giftbag was definitely worth the rumble.

Star studded front row, from left to right: AnnaLyne McCord, Jessica Szor gossiping with fellow gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg, Mena Suvari and Shantel Vansanten

Note: Mena on that Crackberry of hers AGAIN

OMFG those hats

Looking outside the snowy window at the mo, I want, I need, I have to have...my little shearling looks so pathetic now

I was really feeling this slouchy I don't give a sh*t but I'm still uber hot look. Plus we all know how I love my rasta knit hats.

Julia Stiles looking so so cute, Kristen Bell (not so pretty in person) and Michelle Williams

layered clashing neutral prints...harken back to yesterday's DKNY, I feel a trend coming on

Same with knit fringe...as seen also at Jill Stuart

DONNA KARAN
"Forever Black" 25th Anniversary Collection

“25 years ago, we started with a city, a bodysuit, a pair of tights and the power of a woman…25 years later, this woman is creative and complex, evolving, inspiring, seducing the world with clothes…as they reflect the power and passion of her city, her soul.
To be continued..."

Despite the heaps of celebrities in attendance (Mena Suvari and AnnaLynne McCord fresh from Jill Stuar, Susan Sarandon, Demi Moore and Brooke Shields), the real treat for me was the fact that I was seated opposite the runway from my trifecta of fashion heroines, the holy three, Grace, Anna and Rachel, all in a row. I die.

Flash that QVC jewellery line Rachel, you go

No QVC for Anna

Three different fashion icons, three different ways of working. Grace, ever the artiste and traditionalist, sketches the looks as the pass. Rachel, celebrity stylist in the fast lane of LA, videos on her camera. Anna, well, Anna's MO is essentially a nap. Why else has she got those enormous signature glasses?

Happy 25th, Donna!

Tadashi Shoji
Bryant Park, Salon

My friend from London, Chantell Walters in the front row

Ecco Domani
Bryant Park, Tent
6:00

Wasn't able to get good enough runway snaps to put up as the girl behind me kept kicking and screaming everytime I raised my butt an inch of the chair to grab a cleaner shot. But I do have to share these pics of Kelly Rutherford with you. Although she still breastfeeds her 6 year old, I still think she's fab.

Perry Ellis

And that's all folks. Back to the tents for another round, over and out for now. x

HOTNESS at Perry Ellis. I heart Edward so glad he's inspired the runway
