Straight into the haute seat we went, Sunshine really feeling the love and the pinch of three runway shows in three hours upon her feet, let her tootsies take in the air au naturale. Judging from Peaches' face when we walked in, two creatures completely covered in an explosion of color, twinkle, flowers, peace signs--woodstock couture goes Warhol in the studio--one barefoot, the other toting a pint size pomeranian, were not the behind-the-screens bloggers she was expecting. The chat itself took about thirty minutes, during which Butters first stole the show and drew one of the only smiles destined to issue from the lips of our celebrity host for the duration and then proceeded to pass out, exhausted from her day on doggy diva duty. Despite the fact that one can hardly watch such a thing without some serious cringing, I am somewhat disappointed that they cut the segment in which Sunshine and I rattle on about issues other than what we will all be wearing next fall based on the looks tromping down runways, how McQueen's death has cast a shadow over the shows and have we ever modeled before (offensive or innocent question?). Namely, the sudden explosion of "voluptuousness" on magazine covers and shoots (V Mag, NY Mag, Marie Claire, to name a few) as well as the issue which my half-asian race-dar has noted on runways round the world these last few seasons--the token Asian girl amidst a call sheet of Eastern European adolescents paler than the runways upon which their delicate porcelain feet tread. But that wouldn't be the peachiest of pinks for a perky LFW bloggers dish sesh now would it? But I'll shut up now, skidaddle to my next shows and let you judge for yourselves....
