LFW AW10: Clements Ribeiro

Images and Review by Saskia Verhagen

Having time to visit a presentation at LFW? I've discovered that it's near impossible; but on a lazy Sunday morning when nothing else is going on until the Matthew Willamson show, I dragged my tired little Fendi pumps over to the Portico Rooms to check out Ribeiro, and boy, am I glad I did! Trumpeting out those key A/W 2010 trends, Ribeiro featured the metallic brocades, fur detailing and beautiful little printed dresses, wonderfully cut and accessorised with the most beautiful embellished boots.

One great thing about a presentation? Everyone gets to be front row.

Appreciating the fabulous blue-grey smoky eye makeup and the shoes down to the very last crystal is something everyone misses out on at a runway show. Sure, it's great to see the clothes move and the fierce walks but having models pose and pout just for me - it's pretty awesome. My favourite model has to be the lady in blue - although she didn't, by any means, have the greatest outfit - she worked it, HARD. And after a 9am - 12pm presentation atop 4" heels, I can safely say that she was the only one giving it the smize and the perfect poses - very impressed, lady in blue.
