Sugarsweet: Blogger's Delight

Apologies for the lackadaiscail slacker posting, but am currently carrying out my long-neglected left brain duties, wiping the dust off that Classics masters and playing tour guide to my temporarily transatlanticified New York better halves in the Eternal City. And you know what they say...when in Rome...(leave the blogging for another day). Andiamo!

Anywho, here's a paltry recap of a delightful blogger's event I checked out last week, subtly called "Blogger's Delight." At the behest of the lovely Choltida, editor of labor of love mag and online shop SuperSweet Digital, I trotted over to Angel for an afternoon of champagne, macaroons and playtime at their adorable little showroom. Originally from Thailand, Choltida recently started a DIY mini showroom of her cool designer friends from back home in a push to bring a little Thai flavor to the stockists of London. The two brands are the adorable cute-as-cupcake Sretsis and funky, futuristic padded jumpsuit wielding Munchu's, with Sretsis favored by the likes of Katy Perry. Choltida also stocks Alexandre Herchocovitch, whose funky futuristic show I checked out at NYFW. From the racks of Munchu's I also unearthed a glorious backless sequin jumpsuit which played so delightfully with the light that in some of the close up pics, it actually casts dancing shadows across my face. This, needless to say, was immediately pulled for my upcoming Connoisseur champagne shoot.

The tipping point, the dealbreaker, as it were, in extracting me from the recesses of the W1-10 postcodes in which I generally circulate out of extreme laziness and disdain for exercising multiple underground lines in a single day, was the charming hostess' one simple request: "Oh and bring Butters! I melt when I see dogs :)"

Ok. We're coming.

Good thing she had a cat. A very adorable cat who, upon being forced into a CW embrace, clawed its way onto the top of my head when a very jealous Butters suddenly began expressing her dislike at a feline reclining in mommy's arms. An afternoon of cats, dogs and sequin jumpsuits? Sounds SuperSweet to me.

Now off to the Colosseum to see just how much of my Classical education has eroded away since June...la vitta e bella!
