Maybe I should relinquish my American passport, up and move to Tokyo and let the other side of my genetic Miso soup shine, because my half-native people are really showing CW the love this year. For the duration of NYFW, the Japanese street style photogs did their duty and snapped snapped away. Street style snaps at shows are kind of like the lost vacuum of images: millions are taken, few surface, and you never know when or where or what context. So a month or so after I got back from New York, I discovered an email in my inbox from the uber cool Nylon Japan asking to feature my NYFW looks.Little did I know when I agreed to be featured that they would be plastering my image alongside some of the world's most illustrious bloginistas such as Susie and Tavi in a feature entitled "The Powerful Bloggers." Did you hear that, Bryan Boy? FT, schmef-T. And not only did the lovely people at Nylon Japan flatteringly include me in this list, they actually dubbed myself, Susie and Julia Frakes the TOP 3!
So while the issue came out a few weeks ago my Tokyo-residing uncle (Uncle Yaz as he is known--short for Yasayuki, see I really am Asian-tastic) sent me a blurry image, I only really saw it for the first time a few days ago when my hard copy arrived. I was also tickled whilst watching the latest Gossip Girl to see Jenny Humphrey curled up on the couch with the very same Nylon, her cover girl face just visible in the shot. xoxo...
So I share with you the best press I've had yet to date. Apologies, my scanner is being temperamental, so I had to resort to pics, but you can get the gist. And I want to say to the lovely folks at Nylon Japan: ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!
CW will also be featured in the next issue of Nylon Japan...out November 28!

As translated by the Mamma Whisperer: "Kristin Knox: she is a London-based fashion blogger from New York and currently she is studying a masters degree at Oxford University. Her mother is Japanese, father American and she started freelance writing because of the blog. Her key to her popularity is she knows how to look fashionable in real clothes." Ok, so not exactly true, I finished my masters in June (which I told them) and started blogging because of my freelance work. But hey, you rank me above Tavi, you can print that I crawled out of a gutter and feast on the souls of small 13 year old bloggers by laptop light all you want.

Great post! Well done!
Well done! I'm incredibly proud of you! And I love the fact that, while being put next to "celeb" bloggers, you still manage to keep your cool and amazing sense of humour!
Thank you!!! :)
Wonderful!
