I'm in love. It would seem that Louis Vuitton has solved the age old boot love triangle which rudely imposes itself on budget restricted shoe-shoppers everywhere (ankle vs. calf vs. over-the-knee oh my!). With the launch of its recession-friendly three-in-one solution, the Seduction line, it seems beggars can be choosers, and, we, the women of the modern world, can have everything we want at once after all.
As part of the Pre Fall 2009 collection, the idea plays upon the original design concept of allowing four different silhouettes from one boot. The boots can be altered using zips to allow them to be worn as ankle, knee or thigh high boots...or with the top folded down. Genius.
The buyer's dilemma is not entirely eliminated, however, as the boots are available in a couple of variations, smooth suede goat leather or lamb leather and with two heel heights, flat or stiletto. Personally, I'd opt for the lamb leather, as one nasty rain storm could end my love affair pretty quick and I won't have it.
A functioning pocket on the side of the boots adds an original and practical touch (that is, a place to stash the £20 left over in your bank account after resisting the Seduction proves impossible). As with all wonders LV, the boots carry special the brands signature touches- a golden rivet with Louis Vuitton signature and a Vuitton label on the lining. These boots aren't just made for walking, they're made for everything.
